The Little Greeks United (LGU) is coming back in 2025, offering thrilling moments for students worldwide with a passion for Greek culture! The enrollments have now opened !
Our Greek language competition has been designed to combine knowledge with fun and help make Greek more accessible to a newer generation of Greek learners.
The LGU is built on The Greek Online School method, incorporating gamified learning strategies that have shown remarkable results in in-class testing. This program highlights the benefits of combining education and fun, making Greek language and culture more engaging for young learners. The LGU is based on the internationally recognized Greek Language League that has won prestigious awards such as the VIA Award by the Hellenic Initiative and the Education Leader Award for its innovative approach and excellence in education.

Little Greeks United (LGU) 2025
📅 Key Dates:
- Induction Session: February 9, 2025
- Final: March 9, 2025
Who Can Participate:
- Children aged 8–13
- Intermediate-level Greek proficiency
- Participants connect via computer and a secondary device (smartphone or tablet).
Format:
- Individual competitions with questions on Greek language, mythology, history, and geography.
🏆 Prizes:
- 1st Place: Nintendo Switch
- 2nd Place: Mini home projector
- 3rd Place: Digital instant camera
🌏 Regional Focus:
- Designed for students in the UK, Europe, and USA
Participation is completely free.
The LGU is realized with the collaboration of The Greek Online School with the Daughters of Penelope, London chapter 440, and in affiliation with academics including the University of Patras and the Open University. In 2025 the competition will run with the auspices of the Hellenic Republic Ministry of Foreign Affairs General Secretariat for Greeks Abroad & Public Diplomacy.
