Καλώς ήλθατε, Welcome! I am the Founder & CEO of The Greek Online School. In my role as CEO, I combine my educational and technology studies with my passion to support our growing team of teachers and students. I received my BA in Greek Literature at the University of Patras, Greece and my MA in Information and Communication Technology at the Institute of Education, UCL. I have an extensive experience in delivering online training programs to professionals and I have been a guest lecturer on several events and organizations, including Athens University of Economics and Business, London Business Centre & Deutsche Bank. Born and raised in Greece, I moved to London with my husband in 2014. Being an expat myself, I invite everyone who wants to stay close to the greek language and culture to join us!

I was born in Germany and since 2004 I live in Aigio, Greece. I worked in the tourism industry for over 10 years and in January 2016 I joined The Greek Online School as the Administrative Coordinator. I am very happy and lucky to work with a team of teachers and specialists with such innovative ideas and practices in Greek language learning. What I enjoy most at our School is the interaction and communication with people from all over the world. I will be there for you for any questions you might have and provide advice and help at any time.

I have taught Modern and Ancient Greek in Greece for the past 4 years but I became fascinated with the idea of teaching Modern Greek as a second or foreign language when I realised that so many people are interested in learning it. I am so excited to share my knowledge of Modern Greek with people all over the world, from my city Chania, in Crete.

I started teaching Modern and Ancient Greek in Greece in 2013, so I find the idea of teaching Greek to non- native speakers and the love of so many people for my language, really motivating and inspiring.

I subsequently received my Master’s Degree in Modern Greek Literature from the University of Cyprus, where I am currently a PhD Candidate. Ι have also completed the distance learning course “Routes in teaching Modern Greek as a second/foreign language” of the Centre for the Greek Language in Thessaloniki. I taught Greek as a foreign language for seven years at the School of Modern Greek (University of Cyprus) and Cyprus College. Teaching Modern Greek to native and non-native speakers who are not only willing to learn the language or further develop their language skills, but also aspire to become familiar with aspects of the Greek civilization makes the educational process challenging and exciting. I regard Greek Lol as an excellent educational environment, promoting interactive and interesting learning, as well as enhancing cross-cultural education.

I have studied Ancient and Modern Greek Language and Literature at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and I have been teaching Ancient and Modern Greek to students in Greece since I graduated, for the past 7 years. In 2017 I accomplished my Master degree in Applied Linguistics, finding myself specialized both in digital means applied in education and in Greek L2 acquisition and teaching. I have always been passionate about the Greek language, from ancient to modern. During my research and experiences in my Master studies, I realized that teaching Greek to non native speakers was a fascinating new challenge for me and I loved it. As a linguist and an educator I believe that there is nothing considered to be a fact in education and in science. There are always new ways and so many things to approach. Ι firmly believe in the anthropocentric and globalised perspective of knowledge, which broadens our horizons and inspire us to constantly aim higher and thus become better. Greek LoL gave me the unique chance to share my passion for the Greek language and civilization with numerous people from abroad.
